This report is based on our study, the Market for Durables in India: 2020 which is one of the largest studies of its kind conducted in the country, with a sample size of over 150,000 households.

This effort estimates the number of CTV homes, cable connected homes and those connected by DTH. This it does at the all-India level and at the levels of states, state population strata, and for almost every single urban entity in the country, as well as rural areas in each of the districts.

An analysis of the trends in the growth of these segments and profiling each of them upto the state total level are the other components of this report.

Since DTH has several branded operations, we have identified the operators patronized by the households.

The current effort also analyses the shifts in DTH operators chosen by the households, and the reasons thereof.
